The boss' office reminded me of one in Little Britain (a show that I fail to find humorous).

The IT Crowd had its funny moments. It wasn't the quality of the Mighty Boosh or the Office (both brilliant), instead, it was more like Spaced (the pacing and types of jokes were the same): not something that I'd go out of my way to watch, but it produced a few chuckles. The bit about a new 999 number was very amusing, though.

Someone in development needs to get it through their head that shows would be better if they got rid of the laugh-track. I honestly believe that I would be more fond of this series if I didn't have to hear the bothersome mechanical giggling throughout.

You're right about the laugh tracks.
Where i'm at in the US, our PBS station is just starting to run The Office, saw an episode tonight actually. Our cable company doesn't carry BBC channels so we rely on PBS, and the best they can do lately is Fawlty Towers marathons and some episodes of Are You Being Served. I wish they would at least stick Monty Python back on the air.:( American tv just pretty much sucks and so we are starving for anything to make us laugh. It may be 10 or 20 years before we see Spaced or The Mighty Boosh here on PBS, (PBS is stuck in the 1970's.)
