The Thin Blue Line

Watched this again last night, and marveled at how underrated it is, in comparison with Rowan Atkinson's more famous series "Mr. Bean" and his cult classic "Blackadder". This series gets better with repeat viewings, don't know why, but the whole manic stuff at the police station and Atkinson's character has this really funny relationship with a fellow officer (female) and it's just a crack-up.

Gawd, I love this series. They ran it for a while on a local PBS channel and I was smart enough to record a few episodes. I agree, very underrated and absolutely hysterical.

I totally agree. In fact, all of Rowan's work gets btter with multi views, because you start to catch all the subtelties in his work. He's an amazing performer. I think Roberto Banini is also like that.

I could never understand why Mr Bean was a hit, I hated it and then when I saw TBL I loved it to bits and thought it would run forever but for some unknown reason it never reached the same level of popularity
