I've just discovered this tribe, and I can't help noticing that there's no mention of British radio comedy. Does any of this ever get broadcast in the USA? If not, you're missing some really good stuff.

Re: British Radio Comedy
Sat, February 12, 2005 - 8:15 AMI guess that's a "no" then.
If anyone's interested, you can hear some BBC radio comedy at
www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/comedy/
and
www.bbc.co.uk/bbc7/comedy/index.shtml
I particularly like "Giles Wemmbley Hogg Goes Off", "That Mitchell and Webb Sound" and "The News Quiz".
Of the older stuff on BBC7, it's worth listening to "The Goon Show", "Hancock's Half Hour", "I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again" and "Round the Horne".
I'd be very interested to know what you think of this stuff. -

Wed, June 22, 2005 - 3:15 PMOf course, you are forgetting Christopher Morris' extraordinary Blue Jam radio series - dark, creepy, genius and fucking hilarious, which you can find at chilled.cream.org/forums/bluejam.php. You are reminding me to find The Mighty Boosh radio series! I can't wait! I'll check out the stuff you listed. I'm American, and I can access this stuff, its just incredibly difficult to find because NO ONE knows about it in this country. -
