Re: BBC April Fool
Wed, April 2, 2008 - 12:19 PMOh, man, that was GREAT!! :) And it was incredibly well done. I swear, if it hadn't been hosted by Terry Jones (and you hadn't advertised it as an April Fools joke), I might have thought it was real.
And it was *really* nice to see Terry Jones. :) -

Wed, April 2, 2008 - 1:04 PMI still think the best hoax was the "failure of the spaghetti harvest"!

In those days spaghetti was something of an exotic food in the UK! It also worked so well as Panorama is a documentary series of some gravitas. -

Re: BBC April Fool
Wed, April 2, 2008 - 1:18 PMWow.
That's great! And I'm surprised. I guess I didn't really think of that sort of humor being around 50 years ago. It seems like such a modern style of humor. But then again, Monty Python was around just 10 years later, so I guess it shouldn't be all that surprising. I guess I just sort of thought of them as being pioneers in this sort of humor.
